I'm so glad last night went better and his temp is coming down. Hopefully the antibiotics will get rid of whatever it is soon.

Again that for all the prayers. It is a real comfort to be able to come here to newf-net for advice, concern, encouragement and of course prayers.

Panting/elevated temperature/restlessness can also be indication of pain--perhaps try an analagesic/anti-inflammatory?

Monty has been panting alot again today. His temperature was 102.6 this morning. He wanted to be outside most of the day. He is in now and resting. He has been eating, pooping and peeing. I think I might try some pain meds. Years ago when he tore up his knee he ran a fever. Monty gets stressed very easily.

I completely agree with the fact that panting can indicate pain. Poor Monty. I hope he has a better day.

Yesterday Monty temp was normal and is not panting as much. I started him on Dermaxx. He has been on that occasionally. I am going to give it to him for the next few days and see if it makes a difference. He still wants to be outside most of the time and he won't come in unless I put a leash on him. Keep the prayers coming. thanks

Do you think Monty might not want in the house because he's too warm...fever on and off? Mine likes being outside on cold concrete.

Monty had been doing well but the last few days he has started panting again. I was giving him deramaxx every day and started to cut back. I talked to the vet and she thinks he could be panting because he is in pain. So I am going to go back to giving it to him every day and see how he does. It is just so expensive!!!! But as long as it helps my sweet Monty.
