Today we held Marin in our arms and said goodbye to our whiskey stealing, fridge raiding, beer thieving, rice krispie square loving, huggable, lovable, adorable, beautiful bear. The gentlest Newf who had a perfect calm, cool, collected, alpha personality, with a huge heart, a wagging tail and the kindest spirit. She loved her life and everyone she met.

Marin gave us all the love her heart had, until her heart just couldn't give anymore.

Please raise a glass of whiskey or beer in honour of our Mare-Bear and celebrate a life well lived and a Newf well loved.

I'm so sorry Sandra...and I will raise my glass high tonight and think of your Marin. May your sorrow be softened knowing that she lived what sounds like a wonderful full monkey doodle life.

Marin was one of those dogs who touched me the first time I saw her picture. I always thought of her as such a brave soul. She had an incredible time with you Sandra. There will be a bright new star in the sky tonight. My thoughts are with you and Jim. I'm so sorry for this loss.

Oh, I'm so sorry to see this. I certainly will toast her tonight.

Her face is absolutely perfect - there's something so calm and relaxing about her eyes.

:alc: Marin's wonderful memory will be well toasted today. :alc:

Sandra, you and Jim never cease to amaze me at how you bring out the incredible potential in rescue Newfs. Of course the more you put in them the more you get back and the more it hurts when they go to the bridge.

Such true words. When we first met Jim and Sandra in 2006, Marin welcomed a boistrous Murphy to her home and while playful and accepting, quickly put him in his place. I have always loved this picture of her as she looks like she was telling him something. Who knows, maybe she was.

Rest well darling girl.. You will be missed.

Sandra and Jim, Nana sends her condolences and you will be in my thoughts. I am so sorry.
