As some of you know, I was in Germany in February. On the way to the airport, my husband announced that he thought that he wanted another dog, which was a complete surprise to me. When I got to Berlin 2 1/2 weeks later, he had decided to get another Lab. So today, we drove down to Virginia and picked up (kennel name) Commodore's Lady, known as Vandy, who is 8 weeks old. She is named for Vanderbilt University, where I got my bachelor's degree and our daughter got her master's. So far both Maddie and Bogie are getting along fine with her. Maddie is a little perplexed at the puppy behavior, but doesn't want her little friend crying or whimpering. It looks like Maddie is going to be good friends with Vandy. Bogie isn't too sure - a puppy means more toys to steal, but less attention for Bogie. (Maybe I should go to Germany more often !)Here a few pictures of her.

So cute, I love labs and puppy breath...........Remember they were called the Lesser Newfoundland. My Lab breeding friend and I always make a joke about it. She call Annabelle the Greater Labrador and I call all her girls the lesser newf's

Thanks, everyone! From her picture on the breeders website, we thought she would be a quiet and reserved little thing. No way! She is very friendly and loving, but does try to get her own way and is active in between her naps. She met our son and his family and reacted very well.
