We are so excited,I can't wait to meet every one & every dog. Also want my picture taken with all my two & four legged friends. I would like to add that I seen GAD has mixed feelings right now and want to say "GAD this great get together would not be happening if it wasn't for you and your work keeping NN going" Thank you Gary you are appreciated much more then you realize right now.

6+ hours of grooming today and we are almost ready for Newfstock!! The dogs require ten times the preparation that we do!

Everyone can feel stellar by standing next to Sam, he is still looking scruffy, with zillions of reddish highlights, which were further enhanced by the application of peroxide and baking soda after his skunk encounter....worked on the scent though......he's just not looking too pretty
Even so, I love him and he loves me, my sweet little ruffian!!

We have a grooming appointment on Thursday and we'll be off at 1 o'clock on Friday, just as soon as I am finished beating my students over the head with mass spectrometry. :smashy: :smashy: :smashy:

Does just a bath and a blow dry count?! I have not yet taken my scissors to Sully - its a mix of I still think he looks fine au naturel, and haven't had time to fully study the proper way to trim him yet. I thought of giving him my first trim after his blow dry today - but I figured he'd rather look scruffy than embarrassed by his mom's bad cut job at newfstock lol. I also just adore all of his brown puppy floof I don't want to part with it yet. Especially all the crimpys on his ears.

Just you wait -- bon-fire, my place, Saturday night. My bet is many Newfs will leave there with either horse, chicken, bear or moose poop on them - or a stinky combo of all four. Comes with the territory.
Edited to add - the chickens and horses will be safely put to bed before everyone arrives!

I still have to figure out the logistics of getting us to said bonfire. I`m afraid to drive those roads in the daylight sober.. Not that I won`t be sober..
but it will be dark driving back to the hotel... ya.. thats it. :alc:
