Ooh, one other thought. Our breeder send Oberon home with some of the food the litter had been eating as well as one particularly "stinky" stuffy that smelled like his brothers and sisters. I truly think both helped make the transition easier. I'm about to throw that stuffy in the washer now that he's settled in!

Congrats! I was just playing w/ my 16 and 26 wk old. I can never seem to get enough of them. Besides a water bowl, bring along a gallon jug of water to have on hand. What's worked well for all of mine on that first night home was to buy one of those baby bears that play sounds. I got mine in the baby section in Target. It plays music, waves, rain and a heartbeat. I used the heartbeat and never had a problem w/ them sleeping. Even now w/ mine a little older, when I put the rain or waves on, they know it's nap time. This bear's a must for every new puppy owner.

Have a safe trip! I can't wait to see pictures.

I thought we had decided there would be no more puppy pics.. No little button noses.. no silky little ears. scrunchy faces and NO tummy shots. Ahhhhh :alc:
Never make promises you can't keep

The only thing that makes a huge difference is a blanket with the mommy's smell. Katy still has that blanket on her bed.
Also, I am sure you will get it from the breeder, the exact instructions of what pup is fed and some of the food.
You will be in heaven with your pup. I love it when Katy cuddles in to me, when I lie on the floor and gives those puppy breath kisses.
Congratulations, looking forward to pics, Ronnie
