Today we had to put down our beloved Whybu. At almost 12 his heart and will were strong but his body failed him. No longer able to get up on his own and struggling to walk he would still do his best to move to my wife's side no matter where she went. I know he is waiting at the rainbow bridge with a tennis ball ready to play fetch again.

So sorry to hear of your loss. We lost our 12 year old golden in August after similar inability to get around. Heartbreaking....we found a lot of comfort looking at photos when of when he was younger and more agile and remembering the good times instead of concentrating solely on the pain of losing him. Wish I had something helpful to say....

I am very sorry for the loss of your boy...I have a boy turning 12 this year and it breaks my heart to think of him passing...may the memories you have give you comfort during this sad time.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our chocolate lab is 12 1/2 and is going through the same thing. I count each day as a blessing. My heart goes out to you and your family. :(
