I have the K9 III- Love it...it's super powerful but honestly it is so heavy and bulky that it's difficult to transport. It's also LARGE so it takes up a lot of space while traveling, etc. So in all honesty, it gets left at home more often than not. Remember, the III also requires a very high powered outlet- which I didn't have at the time so I had to pay an electrician to come out and install it's own outlet- another 100 bucks. That's if you want to use both motors which is the whole point of getting the III- the power. Honestly, if I could do it all over again I think I would buy the K9 II. The drying time difference cannot possibly be that much different- and for all the reasons listed above I think I would prefer it over the III.
