Blowing coat

Tank is blowing her coat and all I can say is WOW! I never seen anything like this before. The pictures you see online really do not do it justice. :)
Is anyone else blowing their coats?

I'll never forget the first time Thule blew her coat! I really wasn't prepared for that! I thought maybe she was sick!

yeh Jorge is blowing his, its not so bad but then its amazing what you get used to! lol we found it easier with the help of a blaster and pin brush/rake! Stanley hasn't started but he still has his puppy coat! I leave the hair in clumps outside for the birds they love using it in their nests! I can imagine baby birds all wrapped up in Jorges fluff!!! :)

Only Capri of ours is blowing her coat. This was after just one session - and to be honest, I couldn't see a difference before & after.. So there's still A LOT to go..!

Sulley just sorta blew. He lost a lot of his baby coat with the stressing of the trip up here. he has more to go in his bum, legs, tail and mane, but the rest of him is looking pretty sharp actually :) I can't wait for the rest to blow out and see what his big boy coat looks like without all the poofy.

Rosie has been blowing her coat since she arrived. Seriously, it has been going on for six months or more.

Maggie's blowing her coat all over the place here! I brushed for 3 days and then admitted defeat and took her to a groomer to be brushed.

She's still blowing her coat. I try to pretend that I don't notice all the hair blowing all over the cul de sac. :whistling:

I feel like I vacuum, turn around, and the floor is all covered in hair again! The blower helps immensely. I still think we have a ways to go before they are done.

I attacked Nanook with a brand new Mars Coat King. I took him down to nothing. He's so, so much happier with all that yak fur gone! A new bounce in his stride!

Pooka I did lightly, and then I washed, and washed and washed him. Then the blow-dryer got the rest of it. But he loses his coat in tufts, like he's a cottonball tree. Nanook doesn't seem to lose his on his own.

Ty loses in tufts also. This is our first spring with newfies and although we had heard about "blowing the coat", we never could have imagined this level of hair loss. For a few weeks it didn't seem to end. He looks so much smaller after losing all that hair we were worried that he lost a ton of weight. He had actually gained!

Boaz, on the other hand, doesn't seem to lose on his own either. The brown hair is so much finer than Ty's black hair, like a young child. The MCK is wonderful, but I couldn't keep up with the hair removal when you consider the extreme heat and humidity we've been having. He was miserable. I took him in to the groomer and they did a great job getting the undercoat under control. At least now I feel like I can maintain it better.

Skye...Landseer girl... is having her first blow out...and boy is it blowing out! Her undercoat is so thick and really fine...it's blowing all over the place when I get her with the dryer. My neighbors must think it's snowing if they look over the fence! Her back and rear are letting go just great, but her neck and shoulders may need help. I'll have to put a new blade on the MCK!!

Gabe is blowing his! I just filled an entire garbage bag with undercoat from using the Mars Coat King. I still have more to go.
