I adore the tales of Bob's Sweet Mary. She is a special beauty, indeed.
In two months time, I believe I have obtained the male version of this special girl. My Bentley is not the sharpest tool in the shed. That being said, we love him all the more.
It took Bentley two months to learn how to climb the stairs. But alas, the dear boy gets to sleep in the room with the mama.
He still circles like a nut job in the yard... I'm pretty sure it's his way of calming himself....but he is an absolute angel in the house. He loves a good petting and scratch more than anything.
He hits his head on something...walls, counters, doors, etc at least three times a day.
After work yesterday, when I let him outside, he TOOK OFF to the neighbor's house like a flash in pursuit of.... absolutely nothing. When he stopped and looked around and realized nothing was there, he came back in the same flash. I guess we are back to always being on a leash again.
One evening on our walk, TWENTY wild turkeys crossed the road about 20 feet in front of us. Man oh man, was Seamus ever excited! Guess what never even noticed the one minute parade right in front of him?
THEN on Saturday I took them for a walk along the river. Bentley LOVES to jump into the pool for a bumper and to swim. LOVES it! Well, Bentley gets STUCK in the river and keeps digging at the rocks and mud like a goof ball and starts going downstream. He can't seem to figure out how to get moving. Seamus tries and tries to help him to no avail....SO forty-something me has to go into the river (which was rather chilly) fully clothed, in at least two feet of water, and rescue my rescue. As soon as I clipped the leash onto him, he walked right out.
So, what do you think? :kgo_027:
