Bella has LP

If you could think good thoughts for Bella she's having tie back surgery for laryngeal paralysis on Tuesday. She's been showing progressive signs of the disease and is now having trouble catching her breath after walking up a flight of stairs....for a dog that used to run miles and swim for hours it's obviously affecting her quality of life. We want to operate before she's in a crisis so she'll be going in Tuesday so that we can help her breathe better. She's our first newf and has been my teacher for the past 7 years so I'm hopeful this surgery will provide her with many more years of quality time!

So very sorry to hear the news but being proactive is probably the best way to handle LP. I will keep you guys in my prayers. Hope the surgery does wonders and adds years of togetherness for you guys!

Sending all our good thoughts and prayers for your sweet girl. Have you joined the Yahool groups for LP yet? They are full of great people, information and support. I was a part of them when Chance had LP.
