Any kibble recommendations?

Recently Scarlett had a bad bout of diarrhea. Currently I feed her Fromm Large Breed, which is grain free and uses human grade ingredients. Her diarrhea cleared up for the most part although her stools are still pretty soft. I did have a fecal analysis done and it was clear. The vet suggested trying a new type of kibble for her and said she may have some sensitivities to some ingredients. In addition she gets cottage cheese, plain yogurt, tuna, salmon, fruit, some vegetables, and chicken rotated as well as some supplements. I have not given her anything new and think the vet did say this could have been a fluke thing, but still suggested looking at other kibbles and recommended the Science Diet, which I am not going to give her.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a high quality kibble for a 9 month old newf? Thanks!

Acana Grasslands.. High quality.. made by the same company as Orijen.. but not as much protein.. less loose stools for many of our babies.. worked beautifully for my Murphy and now the Monty Muppet dog..

Okay great, I will check into Taste of the Wild too. Maybe it is chicken in Fromm that has upset her stomach.

I would take away all the extra's you add. Just start all over again, and if you want to add extras add them 1 at a time and don't add anything else for a couple of weeks. That way you might get an idea if it is one of them extras you are adding that is giving her the diarrhea. I would do the same thing with the supplements. If you want to try a new kibble, I would go with something that has the least amount of ingredients and is grain free.

This. Times a hundred. The extras you give may not seem like a lot to us, but it is to a dog. Elvis can't have beef, corn, wheat, or chicken so he eats Blue Buffalo lamb and rice. The only extras he gets are green beans, baby carrots, and the occasional apple or banana.

Okay I will see what I can do. She never had a problem with Fromm and I liked that off right away because it is grain free and seems to be a better dog food than most. I will try back at square one. I did add things gradually, but I know sensitivities can change as she grows.

I agree 100% with the others about eliminating all the add-ins. Unless she's on the kibble (only) for several weeks and things don't clear up, you'll never be able to determine if it's the kibble or something else. You could add some pumpkin to her kibble for a few days so see if she firms up and then back off the pumpkin and see how things go.

I have gone back to just giving her Fromm, nothing else for now. I was never giving her all those additives on a daily basis, those were the things that I rotated in. For now I will see how she does with just the kibble. I like Fromm and I like the company so if it is not the kibble causing it I hate to switch from that. Thanks for all your advice!

My friend's littl3 dogs had issues a little while back on Fromm. They're all ok now. Wonder if there was a bad batch or something. She lives near me. Another good food my guys love is Spring Naturals. It's grain free and I think there's about three different ones.

I'd try this first. While I do not feed kibble anymore (18 months) to Oreo, Ricky, and Ethel, and Tiggers been 100% Raw from day one. You may have a culprit in one of the add-on's. Once your eliminated any add-on's you can look at other possible reasons, and then try changing foods.
