Gosh I was so sorry to read this yesterday when I popped in. I am relieved he went fast. We all know you did everything you could. I do love your tribute picture with the drool. Such a handsome fellow drool and all. Hope you are romping with your family dogs at the Bridge as well as all your passed away friends from Mom's business. RIP Adam!

Thanks everyone for the prayers and good thoughts. Adam is home now. His ashes are sitting with Sara, Panda, Samantha and Sadie's ashes. Knowing Adam is not suffering anymore makes this much easier to accept. I keep going back over the last couple of days to see is I did anything or changed anything that could cause him to go downhill so quickly. I know I did everything I could for him but I still wonder. I know the last 11 months were a gift. According to my vet he should never has survived the sepsis pneumonia back in September 2014. I thank God for the extra 11 months I was able to have with him. I thank God even more for the 12 plus years I had with my boy. I miss him.

My thoughts are with you as I know how hard this is to endure...when the ashes come home it is another wham to the heart...but it also feels that they are now where they are supposed to be and that is with us...Dexter's ashes are still here in the house...we have yet to bury him and it will be 2 years next month...they are never far from our thoughts...big hugs to you!
