A year ago this week, 2 days after Thankgiving we lost our pretty girl Sawyer, you know we miss her so much, it's unreal how these dogs get into your soul like they do, even though her time with us was cut WAY too short we enjoyed EVERY second with her for the 5 years that she was with us, I want to Thank publically Bob M and his wife Sue for allowing Troy and I to bring this little tootsie roll girl home with us.
The pain of losing her was felt all over again when we had our devastating fire in Oct, we felt as though we lost her all over again since we lost all of our precious Sawyer gifts and even her urn with her ashes :-..(, I know in time we will meet up with her again.

*as you can see it has been a year and I still can't get myself to change my Floof Queen avatar.......

:hugs: It's not the same, but when we had our house fire, 4 years ago, we lost 3 indoor-only kitties, including the one that had been my baby before my kids were born. He was 13. I understand the loss. I feel for you.

I cannot imagine all you have been through, but I have left many dogs at the rainbow bridge over the years. Everyone so very special, some more than others, but the memory of their love and companionship never fades. I think it is that beautiful unconditional love that they pour out on us that touches us the most.

I still miss and shed tears over some of mine.....Some dogs are just very special and you have that special connection and bond. And I wish I could tell you it get easier, the only thing is you learn to cope better and eventually you smile again instead of cry when you remember some of the happy/fun times.
Sawyer was very special and in my books she had one of the most beautiful pair of eyes. So here is my favorite pic of Sawyer, from my Screen Saver

Wasn't she just adorable

:hugs: :hugs: in memory of a beautiful girl

Floof Queen

She deserves the title :)

I wasn't on NN much last year, and missed this sad news. I remember her and her floof and her beautiful eyes. What a pretty girl. How sad that she crossed the bridge.

We could never have asked for a better, more loving home for that precious girl. Thank you for giving her five wonderful years; and on a personal note, thank you for sharing so many stories and photos so generously, allowing us to remain part of her life in such a joyous way.

Happy birthday, Sawyer; you will never be forgotten.
