Looks like they had fun. I don't understand why they would stink??? Is it the water??? We do water training all summer long and don't have this problem.

They shouldn't smell like that right out of the water. If they are not properly dried afterward, that might happen. Was the water clean? They should be bathed in case the water had contaminants in it.

It looks like they had fun! I wonder if the smell is coming from them getting wet AGAIN and bringing out an old smell from not being dried the last time. I learned this the hard way.

My girls get wet repeatedly. Sometimes several times a day, sometimes if I am a mean momma, only several times a week. Since they are young and don't have their full coats, I don't have to dry them. They air dry without any issues and they don't smell. I am wondering if it is what type of water they swim in? Our water is crystal clear freshwater like drinking water. It is seriously that clean. If the girls are not in the water they start looking scruffy so I will send them out to play in the lake. When they dry, they look gorgeous again. Something out there makes my hair and their fur feel softer and thicker..BUT when they ran under the house with the repair guy, there was water with some mud in it. They smelled BAD and will be getting a bath today with a blow dry

Funny - my dogs go into my Honda Element - all the time wet - and I don't smell it. My kids get into the car and say - Your car smells like wet dog. We had friends that don't have any dogs and they checked out Hank (the bus) wet dogs were in the bus with all the windows open and the 4 year old said what is that smell. Friend said - wet dog. I guess I just don't smell it any more. We bath the dogs and dry them. They are even therapy dogs. And yes I give them a bath the day before they go somewhere.
When I was growing up - a friend had a Bassett Hound and I thought her house smelled like the Bassett Hound. So moral of the story - you will get use to it!!!

That is funny, our tahoe smells like wet dog, and some days are worse then others. I finally put a rubber mat in the back and it's gotten better.
