Which would you choose?

Since everyone seems to have puppy fever...I thought that I'd post a few pics of the puppies that we get to choose from. We can choose from three males and these pictures were taken a few days ago at 5 weeks. We won't be picking our boy up until twelve weeks...but its going to be so hard to choose...so please help!!! (so sorry about the picture sizes...couldn't figure out how to resize!)

All three males

Lastly, here is a picture of two adult newfs that the breeder kept from a previous litter (same parents of the puppies) The one of left is a girl and one on right is a boy.

Wow, it is tough to tell from just those photos, but blue looks most attentive and alert out of the three. Do you have any input from the breeder about personalities? Good Luck!

Oh how exciting for you guys! It is so difficult to pick. I love Mr Red, but Mr Purple seemed very intent on the toy on the ground too. Blue is adorable. Can you guys spend time with them and see which ones fit you the best? All your choices are winners. Keep us posted:)

Blue (but that's also my favorite color!) Try to spend some time with them to get to see their personalities.

Choice, what choice? The obvious one is get a bigger house and have all 3 :)

Personally I couldnt tell without meeting them as I need to see personalities. However, there is just something about Red's face. Good luck and congratulations.

Your breeder should be the one helping you choose a pup. Looking at pictures is very difficult. The personality of the pup should be matched up to your lifestyle and the purpose you want your pup for (showing, working, pet). What personality are you looking for? Your breeder will be able to identify which pup is more outgoing or more laid back. You also can put the pup on it's back to see how it reacts, which can sometimes identify the more docile pups.

I agree with Lynn, the breeder should be helping you decide which pup is right for you. Looking a photos of just their faces is not showing each pups structure, personality, or movement. Do any have a roached back, are they severely cow hocked, do they have curved forelegs, severely bad bites, both testicles, and most importantly have they had their hearts checked by a cardiologist? These are just a few things that may not seem too important or obvious, but could effect a puppy as they grow and can be identified at an early age to watch for.

If your looking at their heads, then by looking at the two adolescents in the other photo there are definitely two different 'types' in the same litter. The one with the white markings has a longer nose than the other. Which head do you like better? What did each one of them look like as a puppy the same age as the ones you are looking at?

We also had a hard time picking our pup, so we kinda went along Sokkia's thought about letting the dog choose us. Well after watching for clues,my to be dog "Lethal Love" peed on my husband. There's your clue!

Choosing is so hard...I liked it better when my breeder told me she had Roger 5 months, developed a murmur and she could'nt breed him....So, I grabbed him;)

First of all ... of course they are all adorable! I'm with Lynn and Susan on this one: Let the breeder choose. My breeders chose both of our pups for us and they did a great job matching their temperments to our lifestyle and situation. There's no way one or two visits to pups can give you more insight into a specific pup's behavior than what the breeder has gotten through months of attending to their every need. You picked your breeder for a reason. Trust them enough to make the right decision for you.

We are definitely letting the breeder match us up with the best for our lifestyle...and we love the short compact noses versus the longer, slimmer noses...but most importantly we are going to look for a healthy puppy. At 10+ weeks they will be cardiologist tested and we will have a better glimpse into their overall health. This post was just for fun...just wanted to know which ones you thought were the cutest. More pics to come!
