Such pretty eggs!!
I have one newf, one golden retriever, and one mutt- see signature.
I have a long haired orange cat named simon. He is part persian and part neighborhood tom cat. He is HUGE. And dumb. He sleeps flat on his back with his legs in the air and he drools.
I also have a short haired sleek black cat named Kaia. She is very odd and I am convinced that she does not think she is a cat, but thinks she is human.

Funny Koi pond story .....

I was visiting a friend that has Dalmations and raises horses. Went on a play date with the dogs at their farm. Their dogs I wasn't worried about, but I wanted to socialize my girls with horses. So we're sitting around enjoying adult beverages and Juno JUMPS into their Koi pond....:tequila:

And it's this elegant looking setting, everything all prim-and-proper, and I'm yelling at Juno to get out of the pond, while she's bobbing for Koi. I'm embarrassed beyond belief, apologizing profusely.......

I got her out of the pond, and promptly put her back in my truck.....Dang hound. :kgo_017:

The good thing was that my friend and her husband were laughing while the whole thing was going on, and NO Koi were harmed during the above incident.....

We had koi until the neighbor kids decided to go fishing in our man made pond IN OUR FRONT YARD! ARGH! Did I mention those fish were my husband's pride and joy.

Hahahaha those poor koi, but the imagine in my head of Katy and Tessa bobbing for fish is too funny.

We had to rule out several houses when we were looking because most of them had ponds with fish in them. Fish aside, I knew we would never be able to keep Elvis out of the water. Our realtor probably thought we were crazy - and we did pass up some beautiful homes - but it just wasn't worth having a permanently damp dog!

and I keep ruling out houses because they don't have ponds - with Buddy's hip issues I'd love to have him swimming everyday.... that means water access on the property or no less than a block away

(yes because mom is a lazy sob)

I've heard to sink big PVC pipes w/ rebar cemented inside them for weight. Gives the koi a place to hide / escape. Then again, no more sushi for Katy and Tessa.
