Enan and I didn't want to post anything right away, until we knew more and now we know!!!
I am totally excited and ecstatic to tell everyone that we've been adopted! We have been going through the process of giving a newfie rescue a forever home and just got the word today. We will be travelling to Missouri to pick up the newest addition to our family next week, a one year old handsome boy by the name of "Manny".
Husker doesn't seem to know what's coming yet, when we tell him he's going to have a forever friend, he just tilts his head to the side and looks at us inquisitively as if to say "What are you talking about you crazy people?"
Thank you so much to CMDRTED for doing our home inspection, we are so lucky to have friends like you and Judy.
To wrknnwf...Manny as well as Enan (Terry) and I will be forever greatful for the home and love you provided him while he waited to find us. We solemnly swear to send you regular updates and pictures of him with his forever family. Friday the 16th can't come quickly enough. I am going to let you post the pictures of that handsome boy. The before and after shots of him from when you took him in and then the images that you sent me today look like two entirely different dogs and its a testament to the time, energy and most of all....the love that you gave him. You are his angel.
To all the members here on newf net that worry about what the future holds for all newfs looking for that special place, Terry and I are now going to ask for your help. We would like to stay overnight in the Missouri area when we go to pick up Manny. If anyone knows offhand if there is a hotel within an hour or two (preferably east) of Kansas City, MO that allows large dogs...please post to this thread. If anyone even has some floorspace to give up for one night and is comfortable with it, we would be entirely appreciative.
