Water Training

I wanted to share this story with all of you. I have only been working with Reagan a couple of weeks in the water. Hoping that she will show some interest in it this year.

Tuesday, we were at the lake working with the Newf's. All of the Newf's were in their crates, waiting patiently for their turn. Sue Lynn was a drowning victim screaming for help. Reagan somehow unlocked both latches on her crate and came running and charged in the water to rescue my friend. Good Job Reagan!! I am so proud of her.

Yea for Reagan, maybe she can teach my Bentley to swim, he is a little water shy

Good job! At our training, when the "drowner" starts yelling, all the crated dogs start barking "Let me out! I'll save her!" :roflmao:No one's gotten out on their own, yet, tho!

amazing!!

we still have yet to get charlie to swim and we really want him to just for pleasure. Only encouraging signs so far was on friday a man swimming in the river on our walks set off a switch in him whereby he ignored his sniffing/playing etc and just stood head up chest out watching the guy like a hawk, i was very impressed. fingers crossed he will go in soon
