Walking

I have a question about walking before and/or after eating. I started working again today and get home about 5:30. I know I should let the dogs rest for an hour after eating, but what about if I take them for a walk before dinner? If I walk them when I first get home, should I also wait an hour before giving them dinner?

Particularly if it is a "power type walk", I have always let mine rest for at least one hour prior to feeding. If it is one of those ambling walks, you probably could feed them about 15 mins. after they get in the house. JMVHO!

I try to wait to feed at least an hour before OR after exercising. I'm also scared to death of bloat.

Ok thanks. I'd rather play it safe and wait too. I just wasn't sure if the same rule applied to exercise before feeding.
I think with it being cold and dark, I'd rather walk earlier (before dinner) than wait until an hour after dinner.

I always wait at least 1 hour before/after any activity

I walk River right before I feed her sometimes, but she is definitely not a gobble-your-food type of dog. She is a leisurely eater.
