Update on everything!

Hey everyone!

I haven't been spending much time posting here, I have been lurking, and responding now and again, but life has been so busy the last 6 months. As I posted about this summer, we bought a new house in June, moved to a city 3 hours away from our hometown in July, started a new job here, we have been planning our wedding, working like crazy, planning on finishing the last 3 rooms in the house, and making a landscaping plan.

I posted about Charlie marking in the new house (mostly on Troy's things) and since we got him neutered that has completely stopped. He doesn't even mark on walks anymore, and he has been good post-neuter, no weight gain, a little sleepier/cuddlier, but otherwise he is great. He had a stubborn ear infection post-neuter that we have fought on and off since early December, but we think it is cleared up now (YAY).

The house is shaping up well, we have bought a lot of materials to finish the lower level 2 bedrooms and bathroom, we are just waiting for some gas lines to be run and we are hoping to finish those rooms by the spring, so we can landscape and be all finished up by our wedding in July (we are running a tight timeline)!

The wedding planning is going awesome, I have booked all of our vendors now, dresses are bought, most of the wedding stuff has been purchased, so it is just a matter of all the finishing touches, I have a lot of little projects ahead of me (making a card box, printing and assembling invitations, programs and menus etc) but I still have 5 months to go. The family politics have been exhausting (we are having a wedding of about 120 people - which means no second cousins etc and it is ruffling feathers).

Well, there is the update! I have been keeping up with everyones updates, even if I don't post much. Wish me luck, and hopefully after the wedding is over, in the fall I will have a new fluffy family member to talk about!

lol...my cousin had a wedding like that...in the end, she held a family meeting and laid down the law...the wedding was her (and her fiances) way, or they were eloping and the mother and aunt hens could stuff it....i was one of the many cousins who clapped and said we'd stock pile booze for the beach party after the eloping :)

I will work on getting Troy to email me some of the furnished house pics ... I don't have them on my computer, and we don't use each others computers.

Yeah, weddings are darn expensive, ours is in the range of $15 000 ... which is a lot of money, but considering the average wedding costs $27 000 it is a pretty "budget" wedding, so I am making my own invitations, doing my own centrepieces, etc etc ... We ordered a good quality paper cutter, so once we get it we will be going crazy with the DIY projects!

We would have probably eloped if it wasn't for the fact that my 93 year old grandma is so looking forward to the wedding - she keeps telling us it is what keeps her going!
