tumors and tails

Does any one know anything about fatty tumors, mast cell tumors, and tumors on tails. Lucky has a fatty tumor on her belly, which we are just watching. She now has a tumor ( not fatty we don't think) on her tail, about 3 inches from the base of the tail. What experience does anyone on here have with this. She's 10 1/2 years young.

Tail tumors sometimes in dogs and horses can be melanoma's..........Not good
But also Lipomas (fatty) are common there, so get it checked soon.
Lipomas are usually benign, but can infiltrate areas and become incapacitating for the animal........My little Australian kelpie has had one for about five years with no effect. he had a biopsy done to make sure that was what it was

Thinking of Lucky :hugs:, Ronnie

Sydney has several lipomas. We have had two removed and anytime I feel a lump they do a needle biopsy, just to make sure. Good thoughts and prayers coming.

The fatty tumor is realy nothing to be concerned about. Keep an eye on it. I woiuld have the other checked by the vet. Have him look at the fatty one also. If that is all that it is, it should be monitored.

Hope all goes well on Monday. Sydney's surgery to remove the lump went fine, she had her teeth done while she was under also.

Prayers coming for good biopsy results and a quick recovery!
