Tucker in his Easy Walk Harness

We just got this Harness at PetSmart and I love it. You put the leash on the chest part and it rides pretty low so he has to slow down and not pull or his front legs sort of pull out. He does not mind it at all and he has really stopped pulling. What a blessing.... and he is a bit wet, just had a bath. He is our baby doll. 5 months old now and such a good boy.

PetSmart said it is brand new. I like the fact that it wont hurt him at all. He walked great on it the first few minutes.

Oh please tell the name of this wonderful harness. I have two pullers here that make walks not so much fun sometimes.

Made by Premier, called "Easy Walk" got it at PetSmart. Within a few min he stopped pulling, when he did pull hard one time he sort of lost ground so he stopped right away.

I've been using these on my dogs for about 2 years....LOVE, LOVE and did I say LOVE (?) them! Looks like you may need to shorten the shoulder strap and lengthen the underbelly strap just a bit. If you run your hand over the dog's chest, you'll feel a projection right in the middle...that's the breast bone and the chest strap should rest right over it. You may need to snug up the two adjustments on the chest strap. You should be able to slip 2 fingers under the harness at any point.

You'll love how quickly they 'get' that pulling just turns them to face you. Works great with a puller, even my GSD who insisted on being out ahead of me walks beautifully in hers. I can even use a coupler and walk both dogs at a nice heel.

LOL thanks, I guess it's not brand new. Thanks, I thought it looked a bit loose, they help me fit it at the store. And instant positive reaction with Tucker.

You did good with the fitting, it will ride lower than the regular harnesses you may have seen. Tucker looks great in red...definitely his color!

Premier has fitting instructions on their website. Make sure you get the correct band under the belly. It can be confusing. Look for the label on the harness (or the strap that's a different color). If it's upside down, it's on wrong.

We've been suggesting these to our students for about 5 years now. I like it better than the Gentle Leader because it isn't as likely to injure the dog if used incorrectly.

I love this age - 5 months - they are in such a half-grown state with the big eyes, gangly legs, baby puppy fur still. :)

the lady at pet smart fit it for me, and I tightened it a bit and it seems perfect now. Tucker seems to like it. He looks proud when I put it on him.

Cutie!!! In the first picture I thought he was also in 'handcuffs' :D, then realized it was the end of a strap!

I'm glad so many of you are having good luck with the Easy Walk. We tried them but ended up going back to the Gentle Leaders.

Katala will see a bunny or squirrel and will go from zero to mach 10 in the 6 feet of leash. She managed a complete flip repeatedly and we were worried that crashing to the ground would hurt her and it was tough on Art's shoulders too.

Kilrain (blind) and I weren't able to work out having me steer for him with the Easy walk. With the Gentle Leader I am turning his nose to steer and that works better for us.

I'm glad there are so many options available now because it seems like different things work better for different dogs.

May have to try this with Koda...I hate using the prong collar but, that seems to be the only thing that works... I'll let everyone know how it works on our little guy.

Tucker is adorable!

Please be very careful with these harnesses. They are applying pressure on the shoulders and pinching the elbows in. This creates pressure on joints at angles that should not be moved in that direction. Its uncomfortable which leads to the dog not pulling, but my larger concern is the damage it can cause to joints. Especially on a growing puppy.
