Does anyone have experience with this dog food? My dogs are currently eating the pacific salmon variety. Supposed to be all natural with no fillers. Would like any comments on what you all feed your newfies.

I feed Nature's Domain Salmon & Sweet Potato but it actually IS TOTW, just repackaged by them for Costco. I absolutely love it and it consistently is rated very highly by dog food reviewers and web sites.

My girl isn't an enthusiastic eater, but she has become a great eater on this stuff. Her coat and skin are fabulous, she has very regular bowel movements and we've not ONCE had issues with loose stools on it, which has been a huge problem with her in the past.

Diamond (the manufacturer) recently had a voluntary recall for one of their product lines, but no person or animal has been affected. http://www.diamondpet.com/information/

We feed TOTW. Switched from the salmon to the Bison due to some objections in the tums from feeding the salmon for a while. We LOVE it.

I've heard the fish version of TOTW is less palatable to many dogs than the other varieties. I fed High Prairie (yellow bagged stuff) for over a year and saw no difference in my dogs' preference, weight, or coats except that my senior Pry did awful on it. The high protein really taxed her kidneys. She started to show signs of kidney failure which has been remedied by changing her to a lower protein food. I'd avoid any high protein food for the seniors. My adults are back on Canidae ALS and doing great.

We were on TOTW (high prarie) for a year. Maggie did pretty well, but then developed food allergies and can't eat any of them now. We're still on the prescription junk from the vet.

Our neighbor uses TOTW salmon for her lab and has for years. She loves it and is doing great.

OMG is it really? Yay! I had had Zuzu on TOTW Pacific Stream this Fall/Winter when we moved and I could not find a convenient Costco, then recently found a Costco (yay!) and tried to switch her back to the Kirkland Premium chicken that she used to eat and her tummy doesn't seem to like it all that much anymore - so YESTERDAY I bought a bag of the ND Salmon and Sweet Potato!

Kristen, you MADE MY DAY!!!!!

To the OP, I think it's a great food if your dog can tolerate grain free food (I have one that can't). Not sure I'd use it for a puppy but your breeder or others who have made that decision can advise you on that.

I never knew! Looking at the product ingredients, ND has slightly less protein and slight variations in the ingredients (ND's first ingredient is salmon meal, TOTW is straight up salmon), but Gilly's coat has always been great on nature's domain and she liked it more than some of the other high-end kibbles we tried her on. I did just see that the nature's domain has peas which was actually one of Gilly's high allergens and TOTW version doesn't has peas...hmm....

Ok...I'm confused! Is high protein NOT a good thing for my dogs? I was told it is much better than the regular food such as proplan, etc...do I need to supplement with other food for a more balanced diet?? My dogs seem to love the taste and gobble it up but then again, they are not at all choosey about what they eat. Barkley (lab)2.5 yrs 60 lbs, Dexter (newf/lab)11 yrs 80 lbs, and Jake(newf) 14 mounths 100 pounds. Jake is also tall, 29 inches, should he weigh more?? He seems very lanky and not at all bulky. Vet says he likes them thinner as is better for their joints. I just want them to be healthy so if you can suggest better, please do!

If your dog can tolerate high protein then dont worry too much, it just means that the food has a higher meat content generally and less cheap fillers. Some dogs cannot tolerate the higher protein contents .

TOTW is marked as a very good food here in the uk and on dog food analysis sites and I have fed ours on that if I couldn't get Orijen but now due to Beaus allergies am having to do a rethink completely on all his foods.

We cannot get the ND version over here in my Costco as I would love it if they did a grain free variety.

Also as foods with high protein levels you dont have to feed so much though as ours are always hungry we bulk out with green beans, etc so they fill up a little more. Lanky is always better than overweight but make she they dont go too thin

We were feeding everyone TOTW Salmon mainly because of Max's lengthy list of allergies. Max did great, Charlie had stools that were a little loose. To save a few bucks, I switched Charlie and Koda (lab) to ND Salmon and saw no adverse effects. After awhile, I tried Max on it and every one is doing great. Everone's poops are as they should be now;)

Thanks everyone, I would love to post some pics but still not able to get them to upload. I am sure I am doing something wrong, not sure what though! LOL.

I've fed TOTW for close to 18 months. He stopped being able to deal with Pro Plan, so we had to find something that worked. I moved to the fish which worked awesome, but have recently tried the Sierra Mountain stuff and it's working great, with less burping and gas that no longer knocks me off my chain (fishy farts are gross). He seems less gassy on this one so I think he is digesting it better than the fish (he has a delicate tummy).

Coop was gassy and burpy on every grain free food I tried. I now feed a food with oatmeal to him (hypoallergenic grain) and that works. Maybe Sulley needs a little grain mixed in?

We feed Molly TOTW. We like to give her the High Prairie one. She tends to have a very sensitive stomach to foods and treats and we have never had any problems with her being on TOTW.

I rotate the TOTW formulas with each bag. Piper has been on it since she was a pup and has done very well.

I like TOTW, too. We do the salmon, unless it is not in stock. Seems like a good alternative to orijen which is grain free, more costly, and hard to get.

I've been slowly adding in more fiber to help fill him up, that might be what made the difference...it would also slow down digestion, so maybe the food is getting digested a little more before it hits the intestines. I didn't intend to take him 'grain free', we just ended up on this through trail and error.

I sat through a REALLY interesting dog nutrition seminar last night, it was very informative :)
