I've got Tibetan MAstiffs. They are barkers. Period. Nighttime barkers. And boy - can they go on and on and on and on and.... well, you get the point. But just barking. And an occassional hmph, sigh, hmph if we don't take care of their needs quickly enough.

So I'm completely in love with the vocal range of Cooper. I love the grunts, the wooo woooo's, the rooo roooo's, the deep vocal barks.

WOO WOO!!! Big smiles over here. Koda has a few tricks like that, the woof, the crygrowl, and the yawnboof. Every time we get home, she stretches and makes some kind of weird yawn noise. I love it!

I started out calling Hera's noise just a normal woof, but I've decided that she's "boofing" instead. She does this thing where she keeps her mouth together for the beginning of the bark and then opens her mouth, so instead of a "woof" it's a "boof".

I love Cooper's howl. My dad and our old airedale used to howl together every night before she settled down to sleep. It always made me laugh 'til I cried.

I have to admit that I love all the different vocalizations. Sometimes I wonder if Ada is trying to imitate our talking because she'll make the oddest sounds at us sometimes.

Oh my, Mudji would have a new boyfriend after that video. Sorry Nessa, Pooks, and Nookens... But he'd have been RIGHT on it!
