It seems that my poor boy is falling apart! He has recurring trouble with his ears, and his right eye is weepy. It looks like his eye lid on his right eye turns in and maybe this is causing it to weep. I also noticed that his right ear is bothering him more that the left so I wonder if there is a connection? Then last night and today he has developed a cough which sounds like he is trying to hack something up...he actually sounds like a wild boar snorting when he coughs. Anyone else hear a dog cough that sounds like that?

For all the above mentioned, he is still active and playful. I just know how miserable I would be if I had those symptoms. Please say extra prayers that the vet can fix him up and that is nothing seriously wrong with him! Thanks all for reading!

Cough could be a virus or bacteria. Ear could be related (or not). Perhaps even the eye. Or, as Deb said, it could be allergies...but with all that, I'd take him to the Vet!

Hope he's feeling better soon!

Yes, a Vet visit is in order, and have his eyes checked for entropian. If the eye lid is rolling in, it can irritate the eye and cause infection. The ear may or may not be related to an underlying infection, but a Vet visit is in order.

SCNRescue has had A LOT of Newfs coming in with Entropian this year.
