Please send good thoughts our way (little long)

Willis came down with a limp late last month. Our vet found some redness between his left front paw pads and so I was very much relieved when the limp went away after a couple of days of using the Genta spray. Late last week he started limping again on the same left front leg. So I've rested him for the past few days, examined and soaked his paw repeatedly (I can't find anything) but thinking if there was an irritation I couldn't see, the soaking might help. The limp seems a little worse after periods of inactivity (early AM and after he's been napping) but at times you can't tell he's limping at all. He still wants to run and play and jump and he's a little confused as to where his fun parents have gone, and why they won't chase him or kick the ball to him anymore :-(

My vet suggested we visit the ortho vet so we're going in tomorrow and hope to get some answers. We had plans to talk to the same group about neutering and gastroplexy, so we'll be discussing that tomorrow, too. Just wanted to reach out for good thoughts (and suggestions if you have them) from people who could understand why I'm a little worried.

I'm sorry you've been dealing with this - but usually worrying about the unknown is the worst part. Hopefully you'll get some good answers tomorrow and come up with a plan to fix whatever it is. Let us know how it goes and we'll be thinking of Willis.

Chase has the same. I took her to the ortho vet and he xrayed. She has OCD. Nothing that surgery would help. He said to just give her glucosamine to help her. I give her 3000 mg per day and she is fine.
