Our River is 5 today!

Hard to believe that River has been ours for only 8+ months, where does the time go? I've watched her become more confident, stronger and trusting every day. She has quickly become my best-bud, I`m so proud of her.

I made her a very special fish supper - a small mountain of salmon, cod and sardines all layered and served on my good dishes - everyone gets their favourite dinner on my good dishes for their birthday! Too bad I'm having a problem downloading my pics right now, but I'll post some new ones of Riv soon, including her birthday celebration.

As I approach Christmas without my Timber and feel overwhelmed, I remember that this is going to be my first Christmas with River. Then I feel optimistic and I want to make it special for all of us. We`re all celebrating second chances around here.

Happy 5th Birthday to my sweet heart supreme! Riv you are a wonderful girl and I know I`m blessed to have you in my life - I hope you feel the same.

We were fortunate enough to meet River at NewfStock this past fall. My wife specifically wanted to meet her and was glad she did. She`s a wonderful dog. You`re both lucky to have found one another. Happy birthday!
