If anyone is not familiar with how I ended up with Milo (saint), it was from a grocery store parking lot. Well...I was on Kijiji the other day and I recognized a phone number advertising Saints at the end of Feb. It is the same number of the guy I got Milo from!!!!!!!!! Seems he bred his female....the one that apparently wanted to 'eat' Milo!!!!!! I am now having obedience issues(very very timid) with Milo, more than likely due to the fact he was taken from his mother at not quite 6 weeks. This guy told me that my beloved pup was to be put down...rejected by the mom..blah blah blah. Now because he is out of work (I know this for a fact) he is out to make money. His bitch is one of the most untrained dogs I have ever seen!!!! Breath in breath out....Okay...calm down...just needed to vent. Not done yet!!! Fortunately I have a connection at out local HS.....said if in the next 7 months or so they have an influx of Saints to call me....Why are these people allowed to breed indiscrimantly??? ARGGGG there needs to be a law!!! I am so p$$t off......

Some people!!! I've never been on Kijiji so I went and looked up newfs in my area and who comes up but the (insert nasty word) BYB that we got my first newf Chelsea from. We made the usual newbie mistake and bought from the first one we looked at. She advertises that she's a state licensed breeder and has the finest in the Chicagoland area. Hah! Some people!!!!

I had never been on Kijiji either so tried it. Can't believe the number of dogs there for the size of our area. One Newfy puppy listed, Landseer about 2 hours east.

gotta love it. I ended up on there earlier this year by accidently ending up there from ebay. Then I saw one of our horses. One a girl was making payments on. She was SELLING the horse!! Needless to say we repo'd said horse.

Then I saw how it's just another place for BYB to sell their animals too :bah:

Just checked it out...no Newfs in my area but lots of other breeds including quite a few Cane Corsos! The best was "Pure Bread Pit"

I'd never heard of this site. Just checked my area too. I cannot believe the number of mixed breed pups...what, pray tell, is a CHUG? Good grief!

I sure wish that our Gov't would try and provide more rights for our animals. It just angers me. In our hometown there is a lady who runs a small-scale puppy mill and we've tried everything from the local police, to the AKC, to the ASPCA, and she gets warnings but no one ever follows up.
Also the public needs to be educated, my family had no idea what a puppy mill was, or why they were so horrible!

Oh I hate that site, Vicky! I stumbled upon it one time and there were newf pups advertised for $700! I wish there was something that could be done, not only about the site, but the people that breed and advertise there too.

Sad so sad..............I am trying very hard with other groups to put a stop to all this.....
But it is a bit of an uphill struggle even though we have the RSPCA in tow. The problem is people belief it is their right to do whatever they like with animals. And the mainstream only think we are intervening with their freedom...........It is just so sad for all these darling lost souls
