I know it's a matter of perspective but he just doesn't look that big to me. Of course deer on the side of the road no longer look very big to me either. :lol:

my danes used to drink from the faucet too - but golly I've seen some really big newf at the CT get together last year that looked like they could as well. are they just amazed that it's a newf? I'm sure other danes and irish wolfhounds have no trouble drinking at the faucet.

funny, everyone is talking about this Newfy now. I even heard about it on the radio on my way into the office. They talked about it for a while.

I read about this in the paper this morning, and I'm sorry, I think we have bigger Newfs here on NN. Besides that, so many Danes are taller. And, I've had two girls that were 7 ft. long nose to tip of tail.

We had the pups at our sons soccer game today and someone told me about this HUGE newf she read about on the internet. I quickly said... "oh poor dog, Newfs aren't ment to get that big... they aren't built for that" She just looked at the "Ts" and said aren't they pretty close to that size.... OY!!!

And let's all give props to his owner for keeping him slim, he definitely looks like he's trim and we all know the camera adds ten pounds!
