Here are some pics from our trip to Maine over Labor Day. We were there for a week, had a lovely visit with Hawk and got to meet his gorgeous Berners.

And just for you Hawk...oh memories... :alc: :whistling: Miss ya!! :hugs:

Here are some at the cottage we rented. I had no idea Robert was taking pics of our walk until I turned back:

We also went for a sail out of Bar Harbour. The captain had two sweet newfs onboard, Maggie and Brig!! Brig stayed at my feet the entire trip and our children mostly stayed there hugging on him:

You COULD say...it knocked me off my feet... :LMAO: :roflmao:

Thanks Ronnie...I did and it's always amazing. Do you have one of Hawk's CDs?? If not, Keeping The Fire is highly recommended here. After spending a long weekend with Hawk, I was even hearing flute music out on our hikes. If only I could figure out how to get my flute to sound like that!

Thanks Michelle. Are you impressed with my skill in walking both newfs at the same time? Quite an improvement from when I was at your house, huh?! :D

The dogs LOVED the cooler weather and the COLD water. And it was also HUGE seeing the two newfs on the schooner. It's rare to see another newf around here. The captain asked why we didn't bring them onboard. First, I didnt' think it was allowed, and then second, they would have been all over everyone! Maybe when they're older... He also looked at me like I had two heads when I asked if he had to blow dry them when they got out of the sea...he'd never heard of such a thing. Oops.

Give me a call and let me know how your appt went at JHH.

Great shots Sharon!

It's nice to see pics of the trip. It sounded so fun when you were telling me about it.

What a great vacation, your kids are so cute, gorgeous landscapes. A vacation with the Newfs too, seems like heaven right here on earth!

LOL.. It looks like they are doing wonderfully! :)

You know...you were telling me all about the music and Hawk.. and you were getting a flute.... I want to hear some of that flute music the next time we get together... you've been practicing... right? :D

Hopkins went great. The doctor was awesome. He spent 1+ hr going over things and patiently answering my array of questions. Boy did I have a list of questions... a full 8x10 in fact.

We went down to Inner Harbor afterwords since it was right at 4 when we got out of the appt. I was not fighting 695 traffic at that time of the day. With everything going on with Savannah, Inner Harbor was a welcome break from the girls and I.

The brief synopsis: The good news is she has one kidney that is doing great. The bad news.. when they got the results of the DMSA we did at the end of last week.. she has some damage in the other one. There is another apt. on 10/14 for the "where we go from here" and the full damage assessment.

I'll try to get back to you after that one. Trying to get the schooling up and running for "biggie" on such short notice has been a little taxing. And, then I have trips for all the testing up here and to Hopkins for the "lil" one. Just trying to get my ducks in a row with both messes at this time. Hopefully it will calm down in the next week or so.

Fantastic pictures. What a wonderful trip! We keep running to Maine to take the kid up, bring him back, or shuffle his furniture around. I'd love to get some time to enjoy that gorgeous scenery.

Boy Brig and the other boat newfy have got a great job. Talk about an ideal life for a newf!
