Newf-less no more!

Last year my Sydney went to the bridge right before Thanksgiving. She was 14 years old and had diabetes. It was so hard to lose her. Leo seemed to adjust to being an only dog. Several months ago I started looking to adopt another dog. Figured I would go with a smaller dog since I've never had one. I looked at a lot of dogs but never followed through. Then earlier this month my daughter's friend called her and wanted to know if I knew any newf rescues or anyone interested in one. They had him since a pup and were looking to rehome him. Her friend recently had an accident and had surgery and would be unable to care for him. When my husband heard he said "We're getting a dog" LOL. So we welcomed Teddy into our family! He's a 3 year old brown newf. Teddy's coat needed a lot of work, but I've taken care of all that and he looks and feels so much better! He's been really good other than being a food hound! My other two newfs weren't as tall as him - he's huge but a good weight at 116 lbs. He puts his head right on the kitchen table. After being newf-less for so long you forget some things!
