14 weekends to go.........We will be introducing the Michigan GTG T-Shirt designed by Wayne Allen very soon. Proceeds will go to Newf Rescue.

I'm so jealous! I would absolutely love to go to this, but my hubs started a new job a couple of months ago which means that he has no vacation time (yay) for another 10 months which in turn means that if I went, I'd have to care for a 14.5 month old Newf and an 10.5 month old baby by myself there, which is soooo not happening!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something like this happens again next year and I'll be able to join in! Can't wait to see everyone's pictures and videos from this!

extra room

It turns out Lewis and I will traveling without our family so we'll have an extra room at the comfort inn in traverse city. If anyone needs a room, let me know and we'll make arrangements for someone to pick up the extra room. Offer stands until a week before the GTG and then will cancel the room. Room is +/- $100 before tax. Just pm to let me know if you want the room!

Just looked it up and it says it is a no pets allowed hotel

Comfort Inn By the Bay did allow pets. They even Ok'd the Newfs when I called in the fall. Barry, when I went to their website it now says "newly reopened" Please double check they will still allow Lewis. Otherwise the next most reasonable suggestion is the Super 8

Hello Kelly,

I just wanted to follow up with you in regards to your questions about the size of pets we allow at our hotel, specifically the NewFinlands. As I mentioned previously, my G.M. said it was ok for that size and you can just relay the information to anyone who may be interested in staying with us. Unfortunately I don't have a formal letter I can distribute out to everyone.

People can call as they make the plans.

Hmm, Barry what nights you got the room booked for? I was planning on tent camping, but with all the OT I'm getting this week I may change my mind.

Just found out there is also going to be an Arts & Crafts show right here downtown Saturday. They are blocking off the main street. Dogs are welcome.

Sunday evening there will be "Sunday Acoustical Sunsets" on the beach. Admission is free And dogs are allowed :) Should be very nice to sit on the beach and listen to music with the Newfs after a day of swimming and good friends

WOW, this just keeps getting better and better! Isn't it wonderful that our Newfs will be welcome at so many places?
