New TDI Therapy dog - Cooper!

Cooper and I FINALLY did our therapy test today for TDI and he passed with flying colors. The evaluator was chuckling and he got smiles and sighs from the crowd as he did his thing.

As a reward I took him for a kiddie vanilla ice cream next door after the test and the kid at the counter topped it with a doggie biscuit - wish I'd had a camera with me to snap a shot of him with his treat!

We are so excited to turn in our paperwork and get started in therapy!

Thanks all! It was so neat to see what he could do - I've never done one of these tests before so was a little nervous but Coop was a cool customer. Happy to work. So nice to see other dogs going for their therapy cert too - I can really see what they mean when they say TDs are born and not made when seeing a group of them together.

Way to go Cooper and Mary!!!!! Smashing Job! The more therapy Newfs the better! I have to say that there once was a poll, I think by the aspca about dogs that have black faces are less likely to be adopted as people are more fearful of them, I have not found that the case with Newfs, everyone loves them, black face, slobber and all! Although if they don't know they are Therapy dogs they first react to how calm they are then ask to pet them! You and Cooper have many wonderful years ahead of you God bless Dogs and good hearted people !
