You are new to the forum so I will pass this along. There are NO naughty Newfs. They are referred to as "Monkey Doodles."
They are never to blame.. it is always your fault. This concept is well known to the old timers here and was conceived by NN Nana..(my Mom) who is the patron saint of Newfs with questionable behaviours.

I think our very own Nessa described it best.

One of NN's members, a Canadian landseer named Murphy, has an infamous Nana.

Murphy and his Nana are very close, and frequently kiss etc. And any time that Murphy does something to discommode his mom, Jen, his Nana will stick up for Murphy by either a) blaming Jen for it because she failed Murphy in some way or b) saying Murphy was just being a Monkeydoodle and Jen ought to appreciate how inventive Murphy is.

Jen, in an attempt to show the Nana that Murphy is being naughty, will often share stories from Newf.net with the Nana that show other newfs being naughty. The Nana invariably responds with the phrase, "monkeydoodle." It is as close to censure as the Nana is able to come.

This is 1 one the funniest of course not bad things my gang did..........lol

I must add it was the Pyrs never the newfs that provoked this...lol

Sorry..I'm still dealing with..ECLAIRS!! Haven't made them for a couple of years..sigh..oh the unboundin' JOY..of making/filling/eating same..sigh..life is ..awesome..with eclairs.. ;) ina n HB n Kesa
