I know that the grooming area is totally booked this year. I have a space. I will most likely not be using it all that much after Wednesday. If anyone is in a Pinch for grooming please let me know via PM and I will try to accomidate you. I will have a table K-9 III, and my Grooming box (which is worth ogoaling anyway) there. I will mainly need the area TUE/WED. I will also have a crate area co-located.

Yeah....everyone needs to wear their nametags! I'll be the tall woman with freckles and long red hair pulled through a baseball cap, bundled up in winter clothes and shivering.
Layers, Sheila, layers...and rain gear! I'm still hardy Midwest stock. FLorida hasn't weakened me yet! I refuse to take a winter coat! ;)

BD....I bought one of the Seattle Slicker rain jackets with the logo on it! I'll pick it up there on Sunday or Monday. And Marlis.....I may need the gloves! I don't own a pair! LOL!

I'll say it and I'm not ashamed....I'm a giant wimp about cold weather. I hate snow and ice and frost. But...I'm moving to freaking Michigan. For the dogs.

(Not really solely for the dogs.....but the dogs WILL like it, I'm sure!)

I have a stupid question...we haven't been involved in the show scene so I didn't think much about the National when I first saw people talking about it. Now that I've actually read more about it, it sounds like a lot of fun. If I could only go for Saturday, would it be worth going? Are the shows open to the public or do you have to have some kind of prepaid ticket/pass? I saw there is a dinner Saturday night, do they by chance sell tickets for it there or is it just too late??

Too late for dinner tickets - all sold. Sometimes there's tickets available as re-sales by folks who had to change their plans. Shows are open to the public. And it's a lot of fun. You get to see a lot of dogs & people are generally friendly. On Sat. all the Best of Breed entries will be showing. If you can't make it this year, come to Carlisle, PA next year. :)

You should come if you can, Stacey. Last year one of my friends who forgot to pre-order a banquet ticket was able to get one from someone who couldn't go quite easily. There's no charge to watch any of the shows going on and it's great to see the Best of Breed show on Saturday. The vendors are also lots of fun with all their Newf / dog items, too.

You are a braver soul than I, Nancy. I will bring a winter coat as this Spring has been really crazy and no telling what the weather is going to be. Sure hope we won't need any winter gear. We need to start doing that sunshine dance!!!

Sometimes there is a message board in the hospitality area where people post notes if they have tickets available. Had to have annie do that with my ticket a couple years ago when I had to cancel. I'll be there all week, and will keep an eye out Barry, and post here or pm you if I see any available.

Barry, just be aware if you don't want to miss seeing the best of the best in Newfs, Junior handler judging starts at 9am Sat. and best of breed judging starts and 10am., which will take a few hours to finish. I think there are 108 Newfs entered in Breed :)

You have to watch Junior handling!!! It is so adorable to see these big newfs being handled by these wonderful kids!! Saturday is a wonderful day to see so many gorgeous newfs! Bring a chair and some snacks since you won't want to leave your seat!
