I, too, am just seeing this. I'm so very sorry. You've had more than your share of tragedies this year. Godspeed sweet Mojo.

Thank you Ronnie. There may be up 12-16 pups between the 2. We will xray on the 6th to see size and who my whelp first.

According to the autopsy it was stress and the humidity more than the heat. He is up on a mountain, so the temp isn't bad but the humidity everywhere is really unreal. He started the day by breeding to a bitch and was fine, and then, boom, gone. I guess I can only say, it is what it is. <heavy sigh>
Niki,

I am truly sorry for your loss, but I have to ask why Mojo was bred in this humidity and not in an air conditioned room?

As you know, I almost lost my bitch 3 weeks ago from heat stress due to a moronic handler!

I also live on a Mountain and the humidity is still very dangerous.

Please let this be a lesson to everyone...this Summer's heat and humidity are the worse I have ever experienced.

Thank you, blaue augen, hsemko, Ted, Joan and Lou Ann.
Lou Ann, shade cloth over run, big fans running in kennel. Almost at the top of the Berkshire area (20 deg cooler than down the mountain) No A/C. Future summer breedings will be AI
