About an hour ago, one of my best friends died in my arms. It was quiet and peaceful and on his own terms, in his own home. While I knew this day would come eventually, I am shocked and heartbroken at the loss of this dear friend. He started life with neglect and abuse and finished with love. He lived long enough to see is dream of a little one fill our house and was her protector and guardian. I am thankful she isn't old enough to understand what a loss this is to our family. I will miss you my faithful friend. I will love you always.
