More good thoughts please

My mother recently had a biopsy on her thyroid and since the results were inconclusive on whether it was cancer or not, they are opting to remove half of her thyroid. She is going to get operated on at the end of June and although she is telling everybody "Oh it's no big deal, I'm not worried about it." I know she is. I'm hoping she makes it to the surgery with minimal worrying but since they are making her wait a month, I know she will be thinking about the surgeons cutting into her throat. *Shudder* I think the chances of her actually having thyroid cancer are relatively low, and she told me that even if it does come back as cancer, thyroid cancer is slowly progressing.

So any good thoughts are welcome. I have heard that Newf Net does good work. :)

Oh no. Sending out good juju to your mama. The good news is that they should be able to remove it endoscopically which is much better than the way they used to do it. Much less invasive and much better recovery. And though any news of cancer is bad news, thyroid cancer is highly and successfully treatable. I actually will be having the same surgery very soon too so give your mama a hug from me and then go give yourself one from me as well. It will all go well, I just know it! Thanks everyone, it seems like Newf net is in distress lately with all the requests for good thoughts. I will keep yall updated on how the procedure goes and what the results are. Thanks again :)
