I see they have different models with different numbers of blades - which one do people use for their Newfs??

Thanks

I don't use the smaller one. For feet I use a small slicker brush and for ears/head I use a wooden bristle brush & a greyhound comb. These were all suggested to me by Jeannie and they work great! I highly recommend her video as well if you plan on grooming your newf yourself. Very clear instructions and easy to follow. I only use the Mars Coat King during heavy shedding periods (like twice a year...spring and fall) and I really only use it on the shoulders, back, sides and front chest. Otherwise my dog would be bald!

I use that one too. It works great to thin out the neck/chest....before trimming!

I also LOVE the Greyhound comb. I use that a lot when combing out dead undercoat.

How does the MCK compare to the furminator? A friend of mine finally broke down and bought the furminator and said it is a god's send. But, she has a pembrooke corgi and their coat is different than a newf.

I have tried both and I gave away my furminator. It pulls out too much of the guard hairs. I much prefer my MCK
