Looking for dryer/blower info.

Someone came in a few weeks ago and replaced my little puppy Brinkley with a large dog, acts the same, same markings, just a lot bigger. This wild child has decided that he would rather run thru the mud, wade thru the water or just roll around on the ground to see how nasty he can get in 5 minutes. Trying to keep his bathing down to 2 or 3 times a week in the cold weather. Decided I could not wait till spring to get a blower/dryer. Asking for advice on the make and model of a good all purpose unit. I travel with Brinkley a lot, so it needs to be portable and not very large.

No Help with info, but he must be related to my supposed show dog Katy
I am beginning to think it is not possible to keep some dogs clean.
I have my always clean Annabelle and Tessa and hmmmmmm Katy.
Good luck with your clean-up venture. Katy actually goes straight for our pond when I have washed a and blow dried her:lol: She has a lot of fun

Yes, definitely ours are related too ;)!

We never wash the dogs after their muddy adventures, just let them sleep, and hoover that spot after the newfy wakes up and shakes the mud there.

The best dryer ever that you can get is K9 III. It really is The best, cuts drying time to 20 minutes per newfy (to semi-dry) or to 40 minutes (completely dry) :).

Canine Air Force Master Blaster (cheaper than the K9 III and works just as well.)
Check out Soundbaynewfs here on NN for a link to her website. Lynn is an authorized distributor for them.
I can have big ole Sydney dry in about 30 minutes. (have you seen how big Syd is?)
Talk to Lynn Nuss over at Soundbay. She'll advise which one is best for you.

Good luck!

The K-9 III is the most powerful dryer available, but many also like the K-9 II and the Metro Master Blaster. The K-9 II and the Master Blaster are a little more portable. A good dryer can be used to blow off mud and freshen the coat in between baths, so is a good investment for the winter.

I have the K9III which I purchased from Lynn, I don't have a bad thing to say about it, I'm sure Bojie does, but I don't;) It works great, and Lynn is great to work with!

I have a circuteer and a metro...both from the 80's, both still working great and I have a lot of dogs. The Metro is not as powerful, but much more portable!

We have both the K9 III and the MAster B;aster. I use the K9 III at home after a bath. The Metro MAster Blaster I use on the road at shows. Slightly more portable. It does not dry as fast as the K9 III but if not soaking wet - it is fine.
A side note - I am not sure how y'all dry in 30-40 minutes. It's a minimum 1 hour for me and 2 hours for some.... I'm envious!

We have the Circuiteer II which is the exact same thing as the K9II but is marketed to show livestock (like Llamas).

It takes me around 2 hrs to dry Cole fully. Molly, at least 2.5 hrs. I've found that if I dry for about an hour then wait 30 mins, ours will be soaked again. The water seems to seep out of the hair shafts and they're actually WET again. It takes a few "sessions" (within one long session) to get them dry. Even when I get them back from the Groomer, they need to be dried for about 30 more minutes. They'll actually leave wet spots on the floor. And they've been being blown out for a good 2 hrs there with big commercial dryers.

Debra, I think the dogs that dry in an hour or less, don't have as much coat. Mira can dry fully in about 45 mins to an hour, because she doesn't have a ton of coat. Cole has more coat on his front legs than she has on her torso. Chance takes about an hour and a half. Syd is big, but he's not heavily coated. Addie takes FOREVER. LOL

I believe the K9III is the most powerful, but it's BIG. The K9II isn't small...kind of reminds me of an old model Electrolux vacuum cleaner.

I have a small Metro dryer, but it takes 30 minutes just to dry Cole's feet with that. And they're not all that wet! Small/portable is virtually worthless except for some touch up blowing out. Our handler uses that before going into the ring to fluff and puff.

Go with either the K9II (or equivalent Metro Air Force Master Blaster) or the K9 III. You'll be glad you did.

I do agree Donna but remember, Pae is young and doesn't have a full adult coat yet. (ha)
I'm supposing as she gets older the dry time will get longer but for now I can still get done in under and hour.
Sy'd hair is so fine that he dries faster than normal as well. I also use many, many towels before the dryer turns on.
