I had to have my 18 year old bengal mix ( 19 in June she would have been) put down today.
She lost control of her bladder over the weekend and stopped eating. I tried to tell myself it was just a UTI (but I knew it wasn't). Her bladder was a solid mass of tumor.
No heroics at her age....She slipped away quietly as I held her head.
I will miss her. I have slept every night for the last nearly nineteen years with her curled up against the back of my knees or asleep on my hip.
She raised a shih tzu and three newfs. And foster dogs too numerous to count over the years.
Rest well Lexie...You've earned it.
