Hi Friends,

I know I have not been around much for quite some time now. I do pop in now and then to catch up here and there.

I'm still Newfless, missing my Gabe every day, but hoping to have another Newf soon. Just waiting for the right one and the right time.

We are traveling to the National next weekend and very much looking forward to getting a Newf fix and seeing some great friends!

Murph, the rest of the zoo and I are doing great! Murph celebrated his 6th birthday last week. Can you believe he's 6 already? I can't! He still acts like a pup but has become a very good boy as he matures. :)

It's so nice to see many familiar faces are still here and active. I will try to make it in here more often now that the pain of losing my boy has eased a little.

Hi, Great to see you here and of course Mr. Murphy, he looks wonderful.
Am sure you will have a good time at the National and let us know when puppy Newf comes.

After 8 years I decided to get a puppy, OMG, talk about an eye opener!!!!! He is 10 months old now.

Your Murphy has always been one of my favorite photo subjects on here... That smile is just infectious! Happy belated sixth birthday wishes to Murphy. Hope it was a great day for the handsome, happy boy!

Love the pic of Murphy, he has the Tessa smile.......he is just a little older than Annabelle, she will be 6 soon....Nice to "see" you and enjoy your newfie fix. I would so love to go :)

It was great to meet you too Lori! Thank you all for the nice replies. Leonard, life couldn't be better for me than it is now! :) My dad always said "A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor". :) How is Snuffles?! Angela, a pup?! Congrats! Now I'm going to go searching for photos... :)

Seems to be doing OK. He turned 9 April 2nd. We had a scare in January 2012 due to some not so good blood work thinking liver/spleen issues. The X-rays were clean as a whistle. The bad readings came back in line by July and last January all was normal. He is showing his age a bit. The Vet thinks he is a bit arthritic on one of his back hips, but no drugs or big changes in the way he moves. The elbows are what they have been all along. He can still do a 2 or more mile walk, but we do not do anything like that daily like we use too. The only big change I would say is he no longer wants to come up the steps in the house. He still wants to go in the basement in warm weather, but we have a walk out basement, so he barks to come up, and I escort out and around like a good slave. :)

Happy Woof Day Murphy! And I'm glad to here that the pain is easing some....and even more glad you want another love!!! Have a great time at the nationals and I think that Scuba's & Diver's mom had a recent thread about it. Glad your back Jess!
