Deacon has come to RI and is settling in nicely! We only know that Deacon was a foreclosure victim and that he is about a year old. He looks great but needs to get some weight on. You can feel his ribs and backbone quite easily so he needs to put on at least 10 pounds according to the vet - he weighed 92 lbs on Monday. He is well behaved but tends to grab arms, hands and legs (hard though so it does hurt at times) when he wants to play. Obedience training is a definite must but I think it should be quite easy to break him of it. He's a pup and enjoys his toys, which we have to get more of. Brandi likes him and they get along - sometimes too well!! They were chasing each other around the house and around the kitchen table last night barking, tails wagging and bumping into everything ! The water pail went over, of course, all over the floor and then they continued to 'wrestle' in the water so it was scattered even further throughout the house. Then to top it all off they both shook - now the walls were wet with Saint and Newf drool and water !!! It was hysterical !!! I'm so glad that we went with a rescue dog. He is going to be a great addition to our family!!

He's such a cutie! My Newf and Saint combo looks forward to hearing updates about yours! The first time we left both dogs loose in the house when we went to work our dog walker found all of the kitchen chairs knocked over. We've explained the "no running in the house" rule over and over, but they still like to play tag by racing around the couch and then into our home office.

Congratulations! He looks good in picture. You just have to remind both " No Playing in the House" We rescued a 2 yr old female last Nov and had a 3 1/2 yr old Pitador ( Lab/Pit mix) both like to play, but have to do that outside. Good luck
