Introducing Piper

This little cutie (and I do mean little) is Piper a rescue that is currently residing at our home for evaluations.
For those that have met our other "mini-Newf", Sadie, Piper's actually a little bit smaller than Sadie. She's almost 3 years old, about 75lbs and wants every bit of the attention.
We've only just started the process of introductions to everyone in our household but on the first go around of on-leash intros to everyone, everything went just fine. Piper and Ursa had some off leash time this morning in the backyard and in the house and that went well also.
This poor girl has been bounced around most of her life and hoping she can land in a good forever home, maybe one with a couple of other Newfs and a Pyr, but who knows as it is way too early to say so far.

Kudos to ya'll for taking her in. I like the name....... of course, I was fond of the TV show "Charmed", so no doubt I would. :)
Hope to meet this sweet girl real soon!

She's going to have a much needed bath tonight after we try to cut some mats out of her backend. She came to us mostly but not completely shaved so one of many things on her schedule is a trip to the groomer to have him even everything out so she can make a fresh start on a nice Newf coat.

She is so pretty! I hope to meet her soon. I see Ursa trying to get in the picture!
Of course - mom was handing out treats. Took the little visitor about two seconds to figure out that a crinkly bag means treats are coming!

She did great with her bath tonight. Wasn't as crazy about me getting some mats out of her tail (thank goodness for Ice on Ice) but she put up with it.

She's off to the vet tomorrow for a thorough checkup.

Oh Mike, I knew I liked you! Charmed is one of my favorite shows. Can you ask Patti if I can clone you? :)

She is a cutie!

She has a cute little face. Bless you, and all others, for fostering. What a great environment for here to learn and love in!

Just back from the vet and the healthcheck went well. No heartworms. Fecal exam good. Best of all - despite being kept in the yard with an intact male - no puppies are on the way. We'll take her back in two weeks just to double check. If all goes well then we'll move forward on having her spayed.
