Had some more difficulty Sun night, checked into ER. They gave him some more oxygen and checked the hemoglobin again. Going down. Endoscopies moved up to 1-17-12 and location moved from ambulatory center to hospital. That tells me they are very concerned. I don't think that has dawned on him yet and I don't intend to tell him. I have cardiology check up today and will tell Dr. (we use same one). One other concern- from the heart viewpoint. When they tried to draw blood last Thursday, it coagulated too fast when just a small amount for the test. Will also ask Dr. today what that portends, it's good for the bleeding but not so for getting blood through his arteries and heart. GI has now referred him to hemotology. I thought the only depts. we hadn't used at the clinic were OB and psychiatry. Guess I missed one- between us we've seen, Internal Med, Cardiology, Gastro, Neurology, Oncology, Opthalmology, Gyn, Dermatology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Orthopedics, pain management, Podiatry, Surgery- and now Hemotology. There can't be too much left. Getting old ain't for wimps remember that folks. Someone ought to be able to make a rap song out of all that!! :roflmao:
