Well, we'd been using the 30" baby gates since we have had the boys, and they finally realized they could step over and/or break down those pretty easily over the last week or so.....and kept making a bee-line for the kitchen where the oh so yummy cat food lives....... so instead of making a mad dash to the kitchen to pick up the cat food bowl every time we hear the gate crash like we have been doing, we decided it was time to fix that little issue.
I priced out buying one of the taller gates, and looked at some of the metal gates, but they were all $75+ and that was a bit steep for me. I spent about $50 total for supplies and we now have this:
Now just have to sand it lightly, prime it, paint it, and it'll work just fine. I'm pretty confident this gate won't be breached, either!
Newf inspired home improvement.........who'd a thought it?
