I have had dogs for 40 years and grew up with a Newfy. A year and a half ago I managed to own my own Newf and he is so awesome! Although I am not new to dogs, I am new to Forums and do not have a clue what I am doing. I wanted to make connections with other newf owners since they are rare in our area. My breeder is a wonderful contact but she is also very busy as am I and our times do not always connect. We raise Alpacas on our farm and Bonnke has already proven to be a great working companion when the males fight, he helps break up the fights. That's just a little introduction from Bonnke's family and we are very glad to be here.

Welcome......and I'm going to need to see pictures of the dog with the alpacas. That sounds awesome! These forums have been a lifesaver for us and our newf.

Thank you, all of you! I am so glad to be here, now if I can just figure out the computer part of this I will be very happy. I will get pictures of Bonnke and the Alpacas as soon as I can and my daughter can help me upload them. I enjoy all of your pictures of your newfs. Beautiful dogs. To Leonard and Snuffles, we are about an hour north of Champaign and about 2 hours south of Chicago, 20 minutes from Kankakee. As soon as some mud dries up I will get good pictures of Bonnke with the alpacas. Tomorrow he goes with us to Children's church to help teach our lesson. We're gonna have fun.

Oh my goodness! We love about 3 miles west of Martinton close to the Iroquois river. I grew up in Kankakee and have spent many days at the state park. We lived in Bourbonnais until six years ago and moved to the country to raise the alpacas. Added a horse, some chickens and have ducklings coming in two weeks. I love the area so well. My name is Rosetta McHugh. Nice to see someone familiar with the area.
