Hello from Northern Virginia! My husband and I live in Alexandria, and we are currently looking for houses well-suited for newfs. I have been insisting on one-level houses with big backyards for a newf to play in. I don't want there to be a single room in the house that he won't feel welcome in.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to adopt a newf until the house hunt is over. We've narrowed it down to a few, so I'm starting to feel more comfortable exploring local rescue groups and breeders. I was hoping to get some recommendations about the best places to look for a newf in the MD/VA/DC area (or further if necessary). I know that I'll have lots of follow-up questions, so hopefully you guys won't get tired of me too quickly!
I grew up with two big newfies, and I miss them every day. I know that our family won't feel complete without one. <3
