Awwwwww, that is so cuteMy parents have a Border Collie who has them trained to take her for a drive around the block if you leave a car door open. She'll jump in and won't get out untill you do it!
Ummm...ours must be the worst hunting dogs on the planet then. They're snoring by the time we hit the end of the driveway. Of course they bounce back up as soon as we start to slow down...but by then they've missed the thrill of the chase! :lol:A friend who studies dog psychology says dogs love car rides because it feels like they are on a hunt. The car makes them feel they are flying along at great speed and the driver is the alpha dog in the lead choosing the speed and direction.
Oh man, can we trade? 'Cuz mine are all hanging out the windows and Lili, the GSD, has discovered the sunroof is opened on nice days so she balances her front feet on the headrest and sticks her whole head out. They have seatbelts but it's a three ring circus to get them buckled up just for a cruise around the 'hood. I'm afraid I'm going to get pulled over and ticketed for reckless driving trying to drag her back inside.Ummm...ours must be the worst hunting dogs on the planet then. We have a neighbor dog, Spot, that use to always mange to dig under his fence and escape. One day the neighbor 2 doors away from Spot's home called. They said they were loading the back seat of their car for a trip. They come out, and found a dog sitting in the middle of the back seat with his paw up like offering to shake. That is a Spot trait for sure as well as the general description.Mine see an open door and they hop right in!
