:roflmao:We were all... Out to Lunch!!! :roflmao:
He was a mess... then he looked Goooodddddddd.... the he was a mess AGAIN!!!! Imagine that!!! Ole Bu Baby sure is a trip! And he doesn't do ANYTHING... without the A OK.. from MOM! Right hand up! I swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth... So help me GOD!
He was a mess, we were a mess, and then that strange man that came into the shop nearly messed himself!
Dear Friends,
Words just can't describe the scene. There weren't enough hands to operate a camera, and unless it was one of those fancy underwater cameras, it wouldn't have worked anyway.
It appears that the Devine Mrs M has short term memory loss. You see, she *forgot* just how much FUN it is to bathe My Lil Baby Dog....Hence the reason that I bring wine at every visit. She's gonna need it! I thought that I was going to owe her a bathroom door before it was all over, because I politely shut hers when I went in. Buford loves his Mama. Buford *hates* to be separated from his Mama. Bathroom doors are the bane of his existence!
In any case, back to the grooming. There we have Sweet Sue and her Ever Obedient Husband (AKA: EOH) struggling to get my Precious up onto the table without specifically asking me how. I say specifically, because she's the professional. I don't feel that it's my place to interfere while she's doing her job (and I'm a lil bit slow). Suddenly, as they're struggling with my 180 lb Love Muffin, it occurs to me to say "Oh...Up Up Bu!" and there he goes! That was just for the brushing & dematting part.
Then came the bath. Buford is not so much a fan of the bath. (Some Water Dog...) Sue & Terry have a VERY clean basement floor now. It wasn't dirty before, but it's VERY clean now. He cries and whines and wiggles and backs up. He even broke loose a time or two, but Lil Sue M is STRONG! To 'get me back' for my less than cooperative dog (because she'd never ever harm an animal) she emplores my help in taming the beast. I think that she soaked my bra on purpose! (Sorry Guys, but 5 hours in a wet bra isn't fun! Ladies...You understand!) Eventually, the entire dog was washed & rinsed.
I haven't got much to report about the drying process, because My Baby Dog loves to be blown. We do it all the time here with the reverse thingy on the Shop Vac.
This is getting way long, but overall and after all, I have a LOVELY Shiny Baby Dog ( and a hangover that just won't quit, I'm battered & bruised (THAT'S another story entirely...Thanks, Sue! ~ Coming to the Drivers Side Window...Silly Girl!)
Buford looks & smells wonderful. I can't thank THEM enough for all of the time and EFFORT that goes into "Bathing Buford".
Since then, Mr B has installed a Buford size "Doggie Door".
Remember when Sue said that Buford won't do *anything* without an A-Okay from Mama?? I've spent an hour crawling in an out the dog door just to show him that it's okay. The lessons continue....xoxo Mrs B & Buford!
